Holden House consisted of the conversion and refurbishment of a derelict grade II listed 19th century municipal swimming baths to form a direct access hostel. The building provides overnight accommodation and ancillary facilities for the local homeless. 12 cluster bedrooms were provided together with 18 bedsitting rooms. The development also included a new-build element of 14 one bedroom move-on flats. The project was technically challenging, both from a services and structural aspect however the majority of the existing fabric was retained with new contemporary internal finishes and fittings.
