The five modular bungalows at Ward Court located in Brighouse have been home to residents for 12 months.
The new homes were designed for Housing 21 adding to the existing retirement living building, supplementing studios and 1 bedroom apartments. Originally designed as traditional construction the bungalows were adapted by M-AR for modular construction for swift delivery and ease of construction while limiting disruption to existing residents.
The underused green space within the site was carefully considered to deliver five fully accessible bungalows fronting onto a shared communal garden. The layout of the bungalows complements the existing building creating a courtyard feel for all residents to interact and socialise.
Henry Riley who Project Managed and provided QS Services recently visited the scheme and reported very few minor defects and high praise from residents who are enjoying living in the new homes.
