Hanover Point Short-Listed for AJ Retrofit Award!

Fantastic news was received at the BBA office recently. Our Hanover Point scheme for Hanover Housing Association has been shortlisted for the AJ Retrofit Awards 2013 for the House post-1945 category.

The brief for the scheme was to modernise the dated un-insulated apartment block into an aesthetically pleasing and thermally efficient building for older aged people to live. The project included the installation of external wall insulation finished using numerous mediums such as aluminium, Trespa and render. Internally the bare brickwork walls have been plastered and painted, carpets replaced and new apartment/communal doors have been installed. A new entrance has also been installed to improve security for residents, offer a focal point for the building and improve access.

It is also important to mention those who worked on this project with us including Hanover Housing Association, ESH Property Services and Summers Inman.

We are looking forward to attending the awards ceremony in London in September, fingers crossed we win!
