Brewster Bye enjoyed a successful evening at this year’s Yorkshire Residential Property Awards with two York developments that we designed being highly commended in the annual celebration.
St Leonard’s Place in York City Centre was shortlisted in the Best Regeneration Project and Best Design. The iconic scheme saw Leeds based property company Rushbond transform York’s Grade II* listed crescent building into a stunning collection of 40 homes, including 29 luxury apartments, six distinctive mews homes and five palatial townhouses with garages. The development, which includes gated car parking and gardens, is surrounded by some of York’s finest buildings and fabulous parks.
Brewster Bye also designed Holgate Mews, which was shortlisted in the Best Small Development category. The scheme, by RHW Developments, consists of six new build luxury homes with a stand-out contemporary design, on land formerly occupied by Holgate Working Men’s Club. As part of the scheme, the developer also built a new modern social club.
The Yorkshire Residential Property Awards are a celebration of the region’s property talent and also raise vast sums of money for children’s charity Variety. This year’s event was hosted by TV presenter Gethin Jones at Bowcliffe Hall, Bramham.
