The farm dates from 1846 when it was constructed by Mr. W A F Saunders as a ‘Model Farm’ and is now Grade II listed. The project looks to create a unique equine country estate set within 54 acres of land, with direct links to extensive bridleways.
The proposals include creating a formal house with an orangery connected via a glazed link to a new contemporary ‘pavilion’ containing a pool, sauna, hot tub, heat room and solarium. The organic form of the pavilion has been developed to contrast with the formal layout of the original mill house and stables. This will provide stabling for seven horses with tack room and a lunging yard.
