Townhead

Townhead is a Grade II* listed country house located on the outskirts of Slaidburn in Lancashire which is on the English Heritage ‘Buildings at Risk Register’. The present house was constructed in the 1730’s after the original house dating back to the 17th century had been demolished.

Following detailed negotiations with English Heritage and the local authority, the proposals aim to restore the main house, retaining all existing features. These include extensive panelling, with the service wing also restored but incorporating several contemporary elements sympathetically integrated with the original; enabling the history of the house to be read.
