Athenaeum House located on The Headrow in Leeds has been granted Full Planning Permission and Listed Building consent for conversion into student accommodation.
The building will house 42 self-contained studio apartments. The second floor apartments will feature the retained exposed decorative trusses creating a feature mezzanine floor with views of the art gallery and city.
The Headrow facing Grade II Listed façade will be retained with some repair and refurbishment works. Constructed in 1890 designed by architect William Bakewell it was awarded Grade II-Listed status in 1874. Historic features internally will be retained offering unique student accommodation in the heart of the city centre.
