In May we announced that planning permission had been granted for an affordable housing development in Wigan. The proposal for sixteen affordable dwellings, with associated private gardens and in-curtilage parking will commence development in July.
A new adopted access court is to be taken off Romford Street as indicated on the Proposed Site Layout. The proposal provides 8no. two bedroom, 2no. three bedroom houses and 6no. 2 bedroom flats.
All units are to be affordably rented housing by Adactus Housing are based on an assessment of need and demand in the area for this type of housing. All dwellings are to be built by Tyson Construction to the HCA’s Design Quality Standards, Code for Sustainable Homes level 3 and comply fully with Secure by Design.
