July is almost over and what a glorious month we have had weather wise. It has really lifted everyone’s mood and we have had a very productive month in the office.
Priory Road, 30 houses in Barnsley for Yorkshire Housing has completed its final handover.
Raynville Drive, 14 houses in Leeds for Yorkshire Housing and Mansell Construction has also completed on site.
We have received our appointment for The Flaxby Hotel for Skelwith Group and are currently working on the tender information.
We have also received our appointment for St Leonard’s Hotel, York for Ambiance Hotels.
A planning application has been submitted for Trinity Quays, Hull, a 19 storey 230 bed hotel on behalf of ISG.
Planning approval has been granted for Stocksbridge, an extra care scheme for Sanctuary Housing.
Lofthouse Place, a development of 30 student studio apartments has been submitted for planning approval.
Hanover Court, Haxby received planning approval for the overcladding and modernisation of 30 no. non – traditional apartments for Hanover Housing Association.
The official opening for the Mackwoth Extra Care scheme in Derby for Sanctuary Housing took place.
BBA had our annual summer day out. This year we had a day at York Races then back to Leeds for a meal that evening. The weather was perfect and a fantastic day was had by all.
The BBA workforce is expanding again! Paige Howard has been in on work experience, Andrew Chapman, an Architect joined us on the 1st July and Matthew Gill, a Part I Architectural Assistant joined us on the 29th July.
Our final and most exciting news for the month is that our Hanover Point scheme in Stockton-on-Tees has been shortlisted for an AJ Retrofit Award! Brewster Bye, along with ESH and Summers Inman will be bringing our client Hanover Housing down to London for the event in September.
July has gone in a blink, looking forward to what August has in store for us.
