Tom Bowness

Architectural Technologist

Tom joined Brewster Bye Architects in March 2014 after graduating from the University of Huddersfield in 2013 with an Upper Second Class Honours in Architectural Technology.

During his time at University he gained invaluable experience with a number of small practices in Yorkshire and since graduation has worked on various contracts in and around London.

Since joining Brewster Bye Tom has continued with his progression towards MCIAT with the hope of becoming fully chartered in 2016/17. He has been working primarily within the Affordable Housing team on a number of housing and apartment schemes, notably Sevenfields Lane winning the "Best Social/Affordable Housing Development" category at the South Yorkshires and Humber LABC Awards, as well as supporting the Private and Extra Care teams. Since then Tom has continued to progress to taking a job running role on a number of schemes.

Tom is responsible for IT support within the office and is assisting with the continued drive to update systems and processes as well as playing a key role in BIM implementation across the practice.

Outside of work Tom has a keen interest in rugby league having played at amateur level since childhood. He also has an interest in different technologies and hopes he can explore this further in greater detail during his career progression.
