| Stapleton Park is at the heart of a large farm situated to the south of Pontefract, Yorkshire. The site proposals are focused around the creation of a carbon neutral live/work settlement that takes inspiration from the original estate, which included a large house and stable block. The development will consist of four main linked elements. The first phase is to be the amenity accommodation which involves the renovation and conversion of the existing Grade II listed stable block into a ‘hub’ which will serve the entire site. The second element, the sustainable village, is to consist of 52 homes with their own architectural language that responds to the needs of the modern family. The third element the Business Park, offers flexible office space designed as a series of contemporary courtyards providing 20,000sqft per block. The final phase of the project will see the reinstatement of the Georgian Building, Stapleton Hall which will provide 32 apartments and townhouses. The entire complex is to be serviced by wind turbines and anaerobic digesters with geothermal and air source heat pumps. |
